Hello, We Are Marital Roots

We are 3 individuals that feel strongly about helping people learn skills, habits, and perspectives that have been able to help us better create and nurture our own relationships in our lives. We all attend Brigham Young University-Idaho and have created this blog to help you and your marriage THRIVE!

We have put together five lessons that we feel are essential to helping marriages build strong marital roots in the beginning of marriage, in order to create a foundation for the life you and your spouse are going to experience.

The lessons we have created are founded in current research that we have studied and been taught. We know that as you actively read and begin to apply the things that we share with you, your view of your marriage and its potential will be made more clear and obtainable.

Marital Roots originated from our desire to help you understand that you can establish a grounded foundation for your marriage that will allow you to remain strong, turn towards your spouse, and continue to move forward when the trials of life come. Like a tree with its roots being spread deep throughout the ground and intertwined with the trees around it, we want your marriage to be strongly rooted in healthy patterns.

Marriage and Family

Hi, I’m Gage. I was born and raised in Washington State and I am also studying Marriage & Family Studies at BYU-Idaho. Just like many of you I try to keep up with a busy schedule and would rather find myself playing sports, going out with my friends, or really anything other than my schoolwork. Growing up I learned a lot from my parent's marriage and I know society can greatly benefit from focusing more on our families.
